The District Conference 12-15 September 2019 in Copenhagen is a central biennial event.

The conference will be combined with a Centennial Anniversary Event.

Only registration and payment online for workshops and Area meetings is still available - until 24. August 2019.


Empower Women – Develop the World

District 13 Conference 2019 will take place 12^th-15^th September 2019 at Scandic Hotel Sydhavnen, Sydhavns Plads 15, Copenhagen SV.

The hotel is just 10 km from Copenhagen Airport and 3 km from the city center. The hotel has a free car park, and is easy to get to by public transportation from the city center - the nearest S-train station Sydhavn is just a few hundred meters from the hotel.

The Official Opening of District 13 Conference 2019 will take place Friday 13 September 2019 at 9:00 am

The introduction to the Conference will be a key note presentation:
“Womens rights – a global view”
by Ulla Tørnæs, Danish Minister of Development Cooperation.

Other speakers will be:
Marlene Nørgaard CEO at Mybanker and    
Pernille Fenger, UNFPA Nordic Office

Both will give a presentation and a debate will follow.

The Zonta International Board Liaison to District 13, Sigrid Duden, will also give a presentation and co-chair an Open Forum.

There will be no workshops as an integrated part of the business sessions.
As an option you can participate in workshops prior to the conference

Venue is Hotel Scandic Sydhavnen. There will be one workshop in the morning and two different ones in the afternoon.

Lunch & time for networking is included at 12.00-13.00

Zonta Leadership – the Easy Way
Come and get important ‘tips and tricks’ on easy and efficient Zonta teamwork and collaboration, and on your usage of digital Zonta leadership resources. In addition the purposes of the workshops are your active participation with exchange of experiences and ideas for your Zonta leadership role - and for contributing to give value to Zonta.
Workshop facilitated by: Jane Andersen, Leadership Development Commitee.

The workshop will give personal value for you:

• as President, Treasurer and Board Member in your Zonta club, area or district
• as Committee Chair and Committee Member in your club, area or district
• as Zonta member for your future board or committee leadership

3. Leadership and tools

Learn about your personal human resources and how to contribute to efficient teamwork and collaboration in Zonta. Learn, as a Zonta leader, to build effective, high-quality teams by utilizing members' various human competences in your Zonta board and committees. Learn which human competences are needed to build an effective team.

Workshop 2: Zonta Leader – including treasurer - the eWay!
at 13.00-16.00

Try the new elearning – quick and efficient ‘leadership and Zonta’-mixed education. Listen, try out, exchange experiences and get ideas to bring back for your future usage of the digital Zonta leadership tools. 

Bring your laptop and Zonta.org login and try out the digital resources prepared for you as Zonta leader – and get a quick overview and hints for choosing the essentials.

UN and Council of Europe
Workshop 3: How Zonta International can give knowledge and make influence
at 13.00-16.00

The District 13 UN and Council of Europe Committee offers a workshop about the way Zonta International can give knowledge and make influence on the annual Commission on the Status of Women meeting (CSW) at UN Headquarters in New York, and the way we can influence the work with the Equal Rights for Women in the Council of Europe.

SOCIAL EVENTS
DINNER AT PRIVATE ZONTA HOMES
Thursday evening 12^th September 2019 at 19:00-22:00
Dinner in a Zonta home is a much-appreciated tradition at District-13 meetings.
The food will be a “Nordic Buffet”, which will typically consist of both cold and hot dishes.
You can look forward to a dining experience beyond the ordinary.
Nordic food is known for the good raw materials from the Scandinavian nature.
The Zonta host looks forward to welcoming you making you feel at ease. You will be responsible for the good talks togetherwith 6-11 other zontians.

PARADE WITH ORANGE UMBRELLAS AT TOWN HALL SQUARE AND RECEPTION AT COPENHAGEN CITY HALL.
Friday evening 13^th september 2019 at 17:45-20:00
You will receive an orange umbrella - this will be the ticket for the entire event, including the entrance to the City Hall.
Public Transportation from Hotel Scandic Sydhavnen to the Town Hall Square (3 departures with guides) will be arrangered 16:30–17:00.
Meeting up at the Town Hall Square with orange umbrellas 17:45–18:15.
Reception at the Copenhagen City Hall 18:30–20:00.
The world famous City Hall Pancakes will be served.
Guests are welcome to attend on payment.

Closing Banquet and  Centennial Celebration at Hotel Scandic Sydhavnen
Saturday evening 14^th september 2019 at 19:00-23:00
Saturday night at the Conference is always a night for celebrations, and this year we will in addition celebrate the Centennial. 
It is “a must” to be there.
A three-course dinner and wine ad libitum will be served. There will be exclusive entertainment however also time for talking.

BOOTHS
If you want to sell Zonta merchandise or other wonderful items, you may have a booth. Booths will be situated in an area nearby the meeting rooms. 
Opening hours of the booths will be in the breaks.
ZC Roskilde Denmark will send out further information, including prices for renting the booth.


REGISTRATION
Registration is done by selecting the desired ticket types.

Be aware that the choice of several types of ticket will require entering the participant information several times. This means that you must purchase the individual ticket types.

Registration is not valid until payment is registered.

Opting out 10 August 2019 or before, payment minus DKK 360 will be refunded.
